Designated as Variation #1 in Braun's catalog, what came to be known as the Lilac is the oldest version of the Dondorf Lenormand.

The the unrestored version still has all the blemishes and grunge from use and abuse it received from its previous owner. Obviously it was very well used. The other is restored to its original beauty.

The spelling on the logo printed on each card says ‘Francfort’ indicating that the deck was made for export.

The Dondorf design of the Lenormand cards, in my estimation, contains the most sophisticated and presentation of the Lenormand symbols.

World of Playing Cards website says that it was produced in 1878. It has been called the "Lilac" because of the color of the circles containing the numbers and the Dondorf logo on the faces, and the deep pink of the card backs.

The cards are made for people who plan to use their cards often. They are printed on modern day, casino grade card stock (black core, 320 gsm) that can be riffle shuffled and feels wonderful in hand and come in a tuck box. Card size is 2-1/2 x 3-1/2"

The decks will be specially ordered just for you and mailed in 3-4 weeks, although probably sooner.
